The DJs, the shows and the music content are a daily ritual. I know times have changed and industries have to evolve ,but for a lot of people radio is personal. I dig into it and saw the same DJ was on multiple stations for the same time slot up the east coast and the playlists were the same for the live stations as well as the curated ones. After the commercials the same DJ said the same thing AND THE SAME SONG STARTED!!. I wasn’t crazy about the song so I “Changed the station “ to a live rock radio station. While on the curated one, the DJ said something and a song started. Most are live stations from different states that I lived in and I grabbed a few of IHeartRadios curated ones. I have multiple stations on my dashboard. I started getting into the IHeartRadio app and using all of the features and building it to my liking. As I started traveling I downloaded the IHeartRadio app ,the Audacy app and a few of the independent stations apps to take my local stations with me. I’m lucky enough to live in a market that pays attention to its listeners and really keeps things interesting and are not all owned by big conglomerates. I still enjoy tuning into my local radio stations and listening to my favorite morning shows, music and evening radio shows.
